Paul McCartney Fenway Park Concert Sold Out: 5 Minutes

Paul McCartney breaks Jason Aldean’s sellout time record for concerts at Fenway Park.  Weeks ago, Jason Aldean broke the record, selling out Fenway Park in an amazing 7 minutes.  Well, Jason Aldean is no Paul McCartney!  McCartney fans swooped up all the tickets in a record, 5 MINUTES!  I don’t know how much quicker 35,000+ tickets could sell out!

The 5 minute pace for the sell out could have been assisted by the rumor that this concert in Boston is a “one night only show” and fans only have one opportunity to see McCartney at America’s most beloved ballpark, Fenway Park.

pmccartneySo what do you do if you didn’t get tickets?  Have you already sold your soul to the devil?  —  Just Kidding!  Well, there are plenty of other ways to find tickets to the concert this summer.

1. Craigslist. It can be sketchy and scary relying on strangers to buy / sell tickets, there is no mediator on Craigslist or guarantee that the tickets are legit and so on.  Be careful!

2. eBay.  Sometimes you can find a decent deal but when it comes down to it, you’re ultimately spending a lot of time clicking back and fort between the stubhub prices and ebay prices and looking at total prices vs per ticket prices… This can be a waste of time.

3. Radio contests. Good luck!

4. Secondary ticket brokers.  A safe bet for finding tickets because they offer a 125% guarantee on tickets and you are not going to get screwed in the long run.  The price may be steep, but you get to pick your seats.

5. Scalpers. This is as sketchy as craigslist.  No guarantees and then the guy disappears with no trace of who he is or where he got the tickets.  You have to assume that the tickets are legit.

My advice if you don’t already have tickets, find a reliable broker and order tickets online.  It’s much safer and you won’t get scammed.  A few good choices: Front Row King, Fenway Ticket King, All Good Seats, Tickets More.

Dave Marsden of Live Nation said, “The record-breaking response to Paul’s performances four years ago at Fenway Park made it clear that the fans here would welcome him back anytime, today, yet another new sales record reaffirms just how much Boston and all of New England love Paul McCartney!”
